Earn & Learn Scheme:  Industrial Training with Skill Development & Employment!

 

Under this scheme, IETE  selects SSC passed , HSC passed/ failed, ITI students through well designed process selection with the involvement of industry experts. Student will undergo for the classroom training, workshop and practical according to the shift . Selected students are deputed to the concerned organization(s) for On the Job Training.

Objectives of Earn & Learn Scheme:

  1. Give students hands on experience and thereby prepare them better for taking up jobs in future.

  2. Encourage young students to learn about dignity of Labour.

  3. Prevent students from avoidable distractions and engage them in meaningful, positive activities.

  4. Encourage to achieve better work efficiency at a lesser cost in the industries.

  5. Enable needy students to earn every month to meet their expenses

 

Benefits of Earn While You Learn Program

  1. Earn while you learn Program - Learning is based on the On Job Training schedules and implementation and/or execution of the same in currently unproductive time in the evenings or weekends.

  2. Gain Experience and Confidence - Undergoing specialized inputs on various subjects along with theoretical knowledge; applying that knowledge to "real life" situations will prepare the trainee to take on the world.

  1. ITI in Fitter

  2. ITI in Electrician

  3. ITI in ICTSM

  4. ITI in Electronics Mechanic

Qualification & Eligibility:

  1. 10th / 12th Sci. /  ITI Pass

  2. Age : 16 yrs to 38 yrs

 

 

Selection Process:

THE IETE & Industry will jointly conduct the selection process; eligible students have to appear for a written test after which they are sent to for on job training.

Methodology:

  1. Student will work in industry as per the shift duties scheduled by particular industry for eight hours.

  2. Student will undergoes face to face teaching learning support from real teachers at each industry where students are placed for On Job Training.

  3. Student will go blended Mode of Teaching Learning i.e. mobile, TAB ready lectures also offered anywhere, anytime learning along with face to face lectures.

  4. Practical’s & Project work activities for specified hours will be conducted at nearby AICTE approved degree / diploma engineering colleges.

 

 

 

Apart from university course curriculum, training will be given on following modules:

  • Soft skills

  • Work ethics

  • Personality development

  • Behavioral development

  • Cleanliness and others

 

 

 

Roll of Industries & Students Benefits:

  1. Apart from the essential facilities such as canteen, uniform, safety shoes , insurance etc for each student of on job training, the cost of education is also paid by the students.

  2. In addition to this, respective industry also pays the specified monthly stipend to each student apprentice as per the prevalent provisions of “Apprenticeship act 1961 ‘. Presently, monthly stipend offered to each student apprentice is as given below:

  • During First Semester : Rs ………..
